Domain Age (age rank) is important for your ranking

I remembered something important this weekend while enjoying the three days off about my usarealtyresource.com domain age that I just purchased a little while ago . I bought it on the reseller market and I looked up some details on if the domain had been banned before I purchased. I looked up the traffic the domain was getting and made a good purchase but I forgot to do one thing until I looked it up again on archive.org. The site was not getting much traffic or page rank so I didn’t really bother to forward the old real estate pages to my pages. This can be a good thing and bad depending on how the original site was performing. It wasn’t really doing much so one thing I realized that I could benefit from was the age rank of the domain by forwarding the old mortgage pages to my new mortgage information pages to show that the old website was tied to the new one in some way. This should show Google and Yahoo that these pages have not been orphaned but are now 301 forwarded to the new place. Hopefully it will work like I think and they will give my site the creditability of being around since 2004 instead of 2006 when I bought it. It can’t hurt anyway.

Let me know what your experience is with this and what you think with a comment.
