A Spammer is born
After some issues today at work I have to ask myself when the reality of an emailer hits and they realized they are a spammer.
It begs the questions about spammers:
- Does a spammer know they are a spammer?
- Is it always bad to be a spammer? Are there good halo spammers that we should all follow and try to be like?
- Do they get mad at other spammers when their mail boxes are full? Is that hypocritical?
- Do they report it as spam and cuss those spammers and their evil ways? Is that more hypocritical?
- If a spammer receives unsolicited email then is it really spam or could it just be revenge?
- Do they feel bad for the people receiving their spam? Can they repent? How does a spammer make amends?
I’ve just had to explain this a lot lately what spam is and try to help some companies know and realize that they are in fact spammers. They send out generated emails to their single opt in email lists with little to no ways to be removed. They are soliciting people to contact them and buy their products. Sure sounds like spam to me but spam is a very individual thing where everyone has their preferences. Who knows someone might like all the cheap deals they can get with their “Freee Vi@gra” and “Ceep Flight s” emails but I don’t. Someone out there must keep thinking one of these spam emails must be telling the truth or they wouldn’t keep sending them so maybe I can buy Adobe software for pennies and it will be fully licensed and o.k. with Adobe.
I guess if you’re one of those people that click on Freee or Cheep Vi@gra links then I guess you are going to get what you are looking for. Good luck with those fake or bad drugs.
If you have any other comments to add you’re more than welcome to add it.
